For years, microplastics were understood as an ocean problem — something that happened to fish and sea turtles, far away and out of sight. That understanding is now obsolete. Microplastics have been confirmed inside the human body at every level — in our blood, our organs, our brains, and in the placentas of unborn children. The science is no longer speculative. It is settled enough to be alarming.

Every year, Americans discard 700 million plastic laundry jugs. The beauty industry produces 120 billion plastic units annually — 86% never recycled. These containers don't disappear. They break down into the microplastics now found in our blood, our food, and our children.

The window to act is now.

Governments are moving. The EU has mandated a 30% reduction in microplastic emissions by 2030. US regulators are pushing mandatory monitoring of drinking water. The brands and platforms that solve this before mandates hit will own the category.
